It is therefore advisable to digitize Kodachrome without ICE. Due to the scratch correction with Kodachrome, image details are lost to a large extent. It should also be noted that the Nikon Coolscan 5000ED has problems with the ICE process with Kodachrome - apply slides. All other corrections can be carried out later on the scanned image with a good image processing program. It is therefore advisable to always switch on ICE. In black and white films, the silver grains of the film are interpreted as dirt.
